Panel “NON-CORPORATE LEADERS FOR CORPORATE LEADERS” June 14, 2022
The building of the archdiocese is located in the center of the city of Belgrade, in a city which, by its location and its nature, as well as its historical role, is a city of meetings. This building is a place of positive encounters, understanding, inclusion and diversity that fit in the best way with our theme of the event.
Leadership and diversity through the prism of the stories of Serbia and the building of the Belgrade Archdiocese from the beginning of the 20th century was the topic of an exclusive panel that we organized for our club members, with great thanks to Mr. Stanislav Hočevar, Belgrade Archbishop who was also one of the panelists, for his hospitality. Mr. Hočevar shared with us many interesting moments from his career and life, meetings with famous people and his personal thoughts on the topic of diversity and the need for mutual understanding.

On the panel, we talked about demanding decisions through the prism of true leaders, important historical figures and events that marked the beginning of the 20th century in Serbia. The panelist, Mrs. Aleksandra Ninković Tašić, president of the educational and research society “Mihajlo Pupin”, is the author of the Pupin memorial project, within which the first virtual museum, which at the same time represents scientific and cultural heritage in the world, was set up. Her presentation on the importance of science and the role of Mihajlo Pupin, not only as a scientist but also as a great philanthropist and humanist, completed the story of the beginning of the 20th century, which represents the most fruitful period of science and culture in Serbia.
Cultural expert Milorad Stokić told the guests about the historical and economic development of Belgrade in that period, the cultural events and circumstances that led to the First World War being declared right here, in the building of the Belgrade Archdiocese, which at that time was the building of the Austro-Hungarian embassy.
